rod humble & grant rodiekThe news is quite surprising, but totally true (or so it looks like). Two of the most famous Sims producers are not working on the game anymore, as they are leaving EA Games: we're talking about Rod Humble and Grant Rodiek.

An article about Rod Humble's goodbye to EA was published a few days ago by SimPrograms, that reported a Linden Lab (the company behind Second Life) press release announcing the producer's shift from EA, after 20 years.
As for Grant Rodiek, rumors have been circulating since last night, when SimFans.de tweeted about their chat with the producer, who stated that Late Night was his last game with EA, and that he's going to work for another corporation. The news has been highlighted by Sims3Nieuws, but even if we can't speak Dutch, Google's (rough) translation is pretty eloquent...

The reasons behind these choices, according to Sims3Nieuws, may be related to a natural need of renewal, some kind of update between old and new producers, in order to bring some fresh air to the developer's team - which is quite understandable after 10 years..even if this makes us a bit sad.

Good luck to both of them!
