Alleged Trailer For The Sims 3 Showtime? PDF Print

avatar unknownIn our last article about The Sims 3 Showtime, the alleged next expansion pack for the game, we mentioned an even more alleged trailer uploaded on YouTube and immediately removed by EA. Well, today TheBlackScorpion from SimPrograms has found the video and shared it before EA removed it again..
To be honest, there's a very little "simmish" stuff in it, just the game cover (which is made up of Late Night renders) - the rest it's all scenes from talent shows so, if it's real, it may just be an "internal" video for the producers, some kind of mockup for the final trailer.
What surprises us the most are the alleged new features, that regard social network interactions (even though this was already introduced in Generations) and new gaming possibilities in the showbiz, so that you can "send your Sims to a friend's game for the tour of their lifetime".

Whether it's true or false, it looks like EA is removing the video from every YouTube channel where it appears, just like they did when Generations and Pets' trailers were leaked online earlier this year.
We are reporting the news for the sake of reporting news, but can't guarantee for its reliability. Here's a couple of our considerations:
  • The fact that a few months ago some videos were leaked brings as a consequence that now everyone can create a video and pass it off as a "not yet official" trailer and  fuel any kind of rumors.
  • Even if it was for private use, it'd be the only trailer with no game scenes (except for some Sims Social videos). We can't imagine producers making videos with scenes from tv shows.. and even if it was, the theme would be a little repetitive (the rock star career is already in the base game, you can be a celebrity and have a band in Late Night).
  • The Sims 3 doesn't have multiplayer features, we can only imagine them in a future The Sims 4, but we can't think about a "send your Sims to a friend's game" feature now. It would twist the game structure.
This is just our point of view, we'll be happy to say we're wrong as soon as any reliable news comes out :)
