Mac users, don't worry! PDF Print

applesimAfter receiving a few reports and requests, we would like to reassure Mac users about the full compatibility of Generations with Cupertino's OS. A few days ago, in fact, some sites published incorrect news about the compatibility of the fourth EP with Mac OSX: due to an EA Store mistake (they listed the dvd-version of the game as for PC only), some users thought the game was going to be available for Windows only, both via digital download and dvd. This caused quite a debate among Mac users who had already pre-ordered their copy, even because at first, from the way the article was written, you would deduce that the game was not compatible with Mac at all.

Fortunately, the matter was quickly solved by SimGuru_Shannon via Twitter, as she ensured everyone that the game on dvd is fully compatible with both platforms, no matter where you buy it.
Things are different for the digital version, but this is well-known by Mac users as it's been going on since The Sims 3 launched in 2009. The digital download from EA Store is for PC only, so if you have preordered your game there, you should call the Customer Care and get a refund. If you're interested in getting Generations via digital download (I repeat, this is for Mac only!), you'll have to buy from other (legal) sites, like GameTreeMac, for example (the game is multilanguage too).

Any other site where you can order the dvd version of the expansion pack has the multiplatform version. So, Mac users, don't worry!
