petsissuesSome users are experiencing issues viewing pets in the game, as on some computers, they appear distorted.

This is caused by low-end or even unsupported graphics cards..


PinguinTech has created a list of cards known to cause the issue: if your computer has one of these models, think twice before buying The Sims 3 Pets (even because, you should also already experience other graphic problems or poor performance):
  • Intel GMA 3100 (Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family)
  • GeForce 6200
  • Radeon X1250
  • Radeon X1200
  • GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 
Due to the game's specs, you may experience issues with the following models as well:
  • Intel GMA X3100
  • Intel GMA X3000
  • Intel GMA 3000
  • Intel GMA 950
  • GeForce FX 5800 Ultra
  • GeForce FX 5700 Ultra
  • GeForce FX 5800
  • GeForce FX 5700
  • GeForce FX 5600 Ultra

  • GeForce 6100 nForce 420

Please remember that if your graphic card is not supported, EA won't provide any help to solve the matter. If you have graphic issues anyway and do not have one of the cards above, try to update the drivers and lower the game settings (broken animations may not depend on this but on your CC not updated after Pets/patch 1.26).
