ep3_iconOn the official forum there are some threads about crashes and various problems with The Sims 3 Late Night, in particular about a game crash while load and save in Bridgeport. In particular we refer to this page.

Our Shoni was happy today, because he receveid early the game (here in Italy it comes out this friday, 29th)... but he has got immediatly this kind of game error...

Once the game loaded Bridgeport, if you try to save the game or load a family, the game crash and you return to your desktop.

THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED WITH THE PATCH 6.1 OF THE SIMS 3 LATE NIGHT

How can you solve this issue? We try to explain in this page...

  1. When you load the new EP for the first time, it's better if you remove your personal data, this mean go to My Documents/Electronic Arts and move The Sims 3 folder on your desktop for example. You can also rename it, as you prefer. The important thing is to force the game to create a new empty folder.
  2. Let's launch the game and try if it works.
  3. You can also exit the game, restore some of your contents (keep an eye to mods and hack, in particular slider's mods, because they need to be updated). Remember we are trying to make the game playable, so it's better try on an empty game and avoid to loose your progress. When finally the game works fine, you can restore your saves and your contents.
  4. Start a new game and choose Bridgeport
  5. Choose the Edit the town mode
  6. If you have Ambitions, find in the city the Community Fire Department. Now (dovreste averla se avete Ambitions). Remove it with thel bulldozer tool from Edit the town mode.
  7. Now you can see an empty terrain. You need to change the lot type, select Residential lot
  8. Once done, choose to change the lot type again. Now choose Community lot
  9. Open the catalog, select a fire department - there is one of the same size.
  10. Now, save the game
  11. After this operation, you should be able to play, load a family and save without crashes.
