The last week EA has published a news about a coming soon eco pack with a Renault electric vehicles for free at The Sims 3 Store.

In 2011, Renault will revolutionise the car industry by launching a range of zero emission electric vehicles. To celebrate, Renault and The Sims team are releasing FREE Renault Electric Vehicle Packs for your Sims! The Electric Vehicle Pack (EVP) will comprise of one of the latest Renault Z.E. cars and a number of sustainable environmental items including solar panels and a battery recharge station for you to use in The Sims 3.
Download the pack, including the new Renault Twizy A.E. and place the items on your lot to lower your bills! Be green, save your Sims some Simoleans and Drive The Change!

Ecopack Renault (Europa) Ecopack Toyota (USA)

it seems that will be 2 different packs, one for Europe with the Renault vehicle, and one for USA with the Toyota Prius (you remember it? It's available for download since The Sims 3 release on the Store, only from the USA page of the site, here:  http://store.thesims3.com/prius.html?intcmp=eaint111). All other items seems to be the same, but only in Europe will be availble the vehicle and the battery recharge station.
